Rothstein Case: 2 IT Employees Among Those To Be Arrested

24 May

It’s been confirmed that two of the four people to be arrested are employees who worked as internet technology specialists for Scott Rothstein’s law firm. These two employees, who have yet to be named, created fake websites for Rothstein that were used to further his billion-dollar Ponzi.

My first source for the information came from local P.R. man Chuck Malkus, who is writing a book on Rothstein titled Magician Lawyer. He learned of the arrests through former law firm members. “They created fake bank websites, that assured them their money was in the bank,” said Malkus. “Every investor I’ve spoken with has told me, ‘But the money was in the bank.’ Well, what they saw were fake websites and bogus bank accounts that didn’t exist.”

Again, I confirmed from sources that Malkus is on the money. And this answers a key question about how Rothstein created those fake bank accounts.

“It’s more evidence of what an illusionist Rothstein was,” said Malkus. “He really was a magician.”

The Miami Herald is reporting that each of the four who will be arrested today will be hit with a single wire fraud charge. Again, all four are cooperating with the government and are expected to be given lenient sentences after they plead guilty.

Oh contrare, Mr. Malkus, unless you are easily impressed. Nothing “magic” about this, just well planned, orchestrated and executed deceptions, conniving and – well – fraud.

I agree with you 100%-This was not magic…This was the work of a thieving crook plain and simple. I hope he turns on everyone and never knows freedom and gold toilet seats again.

Another “Magician Lawyer” was just arrested in Central Florida for traveling from Baltimore to Lake County to have sex with a 14 year old

You don’t have to be Parkland Man to know most lawyers are pieces of shit.

Speaking of Rothstein, anyone wondering why we haven’t heard anything from the Florida Bar’s “investigation” regarding the alleged violations based on the $500.00 max donations(per firm as the ethics mandate) to the illustrious Broward bench by each individual member of the firm? Could it possibly be related to the corrupt Bar’s mortal fear of alienating the receiving members of the bench? The Bar is a corrupt, self-serving, hypocritical bunch of assholes who have yet to move against Ana G or Scheinberg but have buried thousands of Florida lawyers for lesser offenses in fast and effective public executions. Karma’s a bitch!

In my opinion, the mother lode of the missing IT data is going to be found at Qtask, the California based company in which RR&A or at least R were major investors. The bankruptcy trustee ordered them to pony up all of the RRA data and slapped them with a huge fine when he found they didn’t:

    http://www.bizjournals.com/southflorida/news/2011/03/07/qtask-fined-in-rothstein-proceedings.html

Imagine having a place to keep your most confidential information where a raid of your offices won’t turn up a thing.

    • anonymous May 24, 2011 at 3:30 pm #

Russell Adler is behind QTask bullcrap. If Adler doesn’t go to jail in this thing, it will be amazing and disappointing. Lowlifes! Pretty soon NOVA will have to hold their reunions at GrayBar, and if you walk into a lawyers office and see a NOVA diploma, walk out.

I wore my special dress blues for this occasion. Best of luck to Bob Norman with his new venture.Based on what I know about human nature and the hardworking people who work for the federal government, the next 2 years are going to be astounding.

Rothstein was a self-centered two-bit crook, who was one step more corrupt that our other corrupt town leaders. They were all rubbing shoulders with Rothstein, trying to get closer to the money. He had more guts than they did, but they hoped some of his stolen money would trickle down to them. You know who you are. There are hundreds and thousands of pictures of you all snuggling up to Scott, arms around his shoulders, feeling honored to be in his presence. Rothstein and his partners were dangerous people, they didn’t care who they hurt, or ruined. They all belong in jail, with dozens of judges, lawyers, powerbrokers, law enforcement, commissioners, lobbyists (all). So many high-powered people smirk at Ken Jenne, but they have committed more crimes than Ken. This behavior shouldn’t go unchecked. And Rosenfeldt and Adler should be tossed in the same cell as Scott. Put Tobin in there with them. And Bowman, and all the other scum walking around like they’re decent human beings.

    • All That Glitters..... May 24, 2011 at 7:06 pm #

      Very well said!

    • Ken's inner child May 24, 2011 at 7:52 pm #

Ken, good to hear from you. Now, Ken felon was and is a piece of extrement. Just because he “accepted a plea” does not mean he was not guilty of the other felonies he was charged with. Oh no, Ken was the chief law enforcement officer in the county. He demanded to be bowed too, at 5’5” his ego could fill a stadium. I chuckle that he made all his deputies stand at attention when he walked in a room, then he had to stand for morning head counts. No, he is not the limus test other criminals should be compared top.

      • Anonymous May 25, 2011 at 3:42 pm #

It’s either Ken, his son or his wife. Like someone who commits a much greater crime exonerates him. Birds of a feather flock together. Ken just wasn’t as flambouyant about his crimes and also didn’t pay for all his crimes. He plea bargained them down to lesser crimes for the crimes he was caught.

    • Judge Roy Bean May 24, 2011 at 8:49 pm #

Remember that Jenne was a big part of Rothstein’s team. He may yet fall. The Feds have no love for him.

    anyone know Bob’s email address?

  12. All That Glitters..... May 24, 2011 at 6:40 pm #

Just watched Bob Norman’s promo on ch 10. It’s fantastic the exposure he’s receiving!
In my opinion no one should rest easy. It may take a while, but their crimes are not forgotten and eventually they’ll pay. Keep exposing the Bastards. All their names should be published for all to see.

Must have been the teachers. The message was: “Broward County School Board: Cut Waste, Not Jobs.”

Big protest today: hundreds and hundreds of people milling around from the KCW building to halfway up the Third Ave. bridge. They were ringing bells and waving signs. Even little kids were marching and chanting.

It was a very well-behaved crowd, but people seemed really pumped. If it didn’t take them forever to get home after the demo, maybe they’ll do it every time the school board meets.

Hey, decent citizens, let’s take a vote on what’s been rumored as the most disgusting Judge stories in Broward County. Here are your choices:

    1) Ex-Judge Ana Gardiner who, while presiding over a first degree murder trial, was sleeping with the prosecutor, both of them sharing gory photographs over a joyous dinner with friends, then lied under oath about the relationship. What you need to know: A man’s life was a stake. Also, the ex-judge is a pig.

    2) Ex-“Probate” Judge Larry Seidlin who financially exploited an 81-year grieving widow who was his neighbor, getting her multi-million dollar estate in his wife’s “maiden” name within 22 months of knowing the woman; then, having his entire family live off the woman’s credit cards while greedily waiting for the victim to die. Facts you need to know: Both the ex-Judge and his wife are Pigs.

    3) Judge John Bowen, who took a mother’s rights to custody of her son away, the moved the teenage boy into his house and his bed. Facts you need to know: There’s national list to add this judge’s name to, and men like this are Pigs.

    4) Ex-Chief Judge Vic Tobin, who initiated rocket-dockets to foreclose on people’s homes, while creating laws to help banks and foreclosure mills get their greedy deeds done quickly, then taking a job with the filthiest of the bunch, Marshall Watson, to use his influence to rob even more decent people, while keeping Watson out of jail. Facts you need to know: Marshall Watson targeted our military troops who are overseas and couldn’t get home to help their wives and children save their homes. Not to be biased, but they’re both Pigs.

There you go, decent citizens…vote for what you think is the rumored worst behavior, and the judge you think is the biggest PIG.

It is good to see that more of the Rothstein crew are approaching justice ( as little as it may be)
